The Beaufort Cavalli brings forward a very vintage inspired design with more modern components. I saw the Cavalli diver on Kickstarter and thought it was handsome looking watch with decent specs and the looks so decided to give it shot.

The Cavalli with its forest green fume dial was the biggest draw for me in purchasing this watch. In natural light to me captures the eye quite nicely.
Moving up close the text is printed nicely on the textured dial which is nice touch instead of having a smoothed out flat surface which may take away from the dial. The hands are cut well and have good shape but could use better finishing but expected by a watch in this price point. The date wheel is also textured and the black blends well with the rest of the dial.
The chapter ring on the watch can be a bit hard to see unless your are at the right angle because of the crystal. The lumed markers around the sapphire bezel are done extremely well for a watch in this price point. The bezel it self it easy to turn, no back play and lines up nicely.
The 3-piece construction is very nicely done the polished case with drilled lugs is clean and elegant. The crown logo is very nicely done but the crown still seems little small for the watch. The crown does have good feel and function to it with easy engagement points.
Brushing on the top of the lugs.
The caseback which shows off the STP1-11 with Elbore grade finishing. The bracelet with the quick release system is always nice to see for quick and easy strap changes.
The bracelet can be hit or miss for some. It is really comfortable but sometimes the individual links can sit a little uneven with how flat they are on the surface. The milled clasp with plenty of micro adjustments and the perlage is a nice touch.
The finish inside the links could have been better
The BGW9 brightness is quite good on the watch, after adding extra layers it glows really nicely.
The Cavalli currently retails for $586 USD on their website. I think the watch has a great fume dial which is the star of the show for me. The only real downside for me was the size of the crown. The bracelet is comfortable but could use some smoothing out around the edges and I can see this being a great option for people who love to change straps. I think the watch could use a bit more refinement for the price tag, but at the $400 kickstarter price I can live with it.
