TOCKR Skytrain -42mm Automatic

The TOCKR brand has been around since 2017 and is an American based brands deep seated in Texas. Designed in America and made in Switzerland we should hopefully see some great finish and quality from a brand that is suppose to be competitive in the luxury marketplace.

STRAP - One calf-leather and one silicone with color matching dial, both with pin buckle clasp in brushed Stainless Steel 316L

When handling the Skytrain the first thing I noticed was the very cool C-47 plane on the seconds hand. Sweeping around the dial its just a fun to look at. The dial is rather simple with the only other colors being the minute markers in white, and the reddish orange 60 and crosshair on the dial.

The C-47 Seaplane on the tip of the seconds hand is done quite well. The plane glows bright enough when in the dark and is probably the most stand out thing about the watch.

The indices are not what I would have expected from a watch in this price range. Keeping in mind this visible with the naked eye I cant help but feel cheated here. Paying $1200 or even less just doesn't sit well with me.

The markers do appear to be done well across the entire watch and are very clean and precise.

One other thing that was hugely unsatisfactory is the very long hair line scratch towards the bottom of the dial. Not much I can say about this as its not visible with the naked eye but speaks volumes to me about what a company is willing to let slide. Now this could have been covered by the Warranty but at this stage I was just too unsatisfied to eve bother.

The hands are cut well with little debris on them. The lume is also done nicely with the hands.

The crown is very smooth and it really makes it difficult to wind or set the time. The grooves are too just shallow for you to get a good grip. The crown shouldn't be something that slips between your fingers but should be smooth and easy to use.

The case back laser etching is not all bad, but something a bit deeper would have been nicer.

The polishing on the case is nicely done with no issues from what I can see.

Overall the Tockr Skytrain is not would I expect from a brand being around since 2017 claiming to be a competitor in the luxury watch category. While its always nice to have a ETA movement, sapphire glass and being Swiss made there is just too many big issues in the finer details. I could say the best parts about the watch is the plane on the second hand, the rich blue color dial, and the finishing on the case. The major downsides for me would have to be the indices and the lack of quality control on the dial along with the crown. It could be that I just got a "Lemon" and others may not be like this which is always a possibility. It is a fantastic looking watch with its own unique charm and it wears really well on the wrist. I think they hit a homerun on the design and that little plane is always a joy to see watching it makes it way around the dial.
